How much does it cost to stay?
Accommodation in Queenstown ranges in price from $25 per person, to more than $200 for a double room.


Is there plenty of accommodation?
Queenstown has more than 15,000 visitor beds but it's a good idea to make advanced bookings during busy times such as public holidays and the high summer or winter seasons.

How do I get around?
Shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. Most operators provide transport to and from the town centre. For independence, hire a car, 4WD, moped or cycle.


What clothes do I need?
Best leave the tie at home, people here dress casually but remember mountain weather can change quickly. Be ready with some warm clothing, wet weather gear and sun block.

 

Can we find good food in Queenstown?
More than 100 eateries provide a variety of styles and cuisine's including European, Japanese, Chinese, Indian, Steak, Seafood and much more.


How is the shopping?
Shops are open late seven days a week and are very competitively priced. You'll find a wide range of New Zealand and imported goods including internationally recognized brands. All major credit cards are accepted.
Changing overseas currency and travellers cheques is no problem.
