Latest Updates
15/12/2011 - The latest update from the DOC advises that the Routeburn Track is now fully open. Controlled crossings are no longer in place so walkers are free to make their own way over the Harris Saddle, but some 'no stopping' zones are marked, where there is still danger of icefall or avalanche.
02/12/2011 - Spend Christmas on the Routeburn Track! Info&Track are pleased to announce that we will be running an 8am service from Queenstown to Glenorchy and the Routeburn Shelter, and a 10am service back from the Routeburn Shelter, through Glenorchy to Queenstown on December 25th, 2011. The tracks tend to be very popular during the festive season, so be sure to get in quick to avoid missing out!
22/11/2011 - The damaged bridge at Snowy Creek on the Rees has now been repaired, so transport services to the track will resume. There's still a bit of snow up there but crampons won't be needed. As always, remember to check with the Department of Conservation for further updates before departing for the track.
09/10/2011 - The Department of Conservation have produced stunning videos of a selection of New Zealand's Great Walks, if you're considering walking the Routeburn Track this summer then this video will certainly get you in the mood!
