For the complete scenic or Lord of the Rings experience - this extended journey takes you even further into the incredible scenery of Glenorchy and the Wakatipu Basin. In the morning your journey will take the form of the half-day Lord of the rings Tour as far as Glenorchy, before travelling back towards Queenstown for a delicious gourmet lunch at a local vineyard.
In the afternoon the choice is yours: visit historic Arrowtown and the Chinese settlement, stop at the iconic Kawarau Bridge, location of Pillar of the Kings, for a photographic opportunity - or even a bungy jump! - and enjoy a leisurely guided walk. There is also the option to visit Coronet Peak and the dramatic Skipper's Saddle, as well as picturesque Lake Hayes. This is a full day tour with a difference - the itinerary for the afternoon is kept deliberately flexible to allow greater freedom of choice. Just ask our knowledgeable local guides for more ideas!
