Voted one of the World’s “Top Ten Classic Hikes” by Lonely Planet, the Routeburn Track is a hiking experience not to be missed. At 32-kilometres in length, this Great Walk is traditionally walked over three days although many trampers will choose to do it in two.
The Rees-Dart Track is a demanding 4-5 day tramping circuit following both the Rees and the Dart rivers through dramatic valleys in the southern part of Mount Aspiring National Park.
The Greenstone and Caples Valleys are linked by the McKellar Saddle to create a 59-kilometre loop track that can be walked in four or five days. With easy gradients and excellent scenery, both the Greenstone and Caples tracks make an ideal introduction to multi-day tramping.
